Libero announced complete assays from the first diamond drill hole (MD-043) of the Phase 1 (5,000m) drilling program at its 100%-owned Mocoa porphyry Cu project in Colombia. MD-043 returned 0.89% CuEq (0.62% Cu and 0.083% Mo) over 557m with higher-grade sub-intervals. We estimate that MD-043 extended mineralization a further ~300-400m below the existing resource boundary as well as laterally away from hole M25. We believe hole MD-043 should help upgrade the existing ~4.6B lb Cu resource at Mocoa from the inferred to indicated category and could likely improve the resource grade. In our view, upgrading the inferred resources to a higher classification at Mocoa and deposit growth are key to a potential re-rating.
Galleon announced its exploration and permitting plans for 2022 at its West Cache Au project in the Timmins, Ontario area. The company recently closed a $3.5M flow-through and non-flow-through financing, thus it is funded for its 2022 plans. We have adjusted our target price to take into account the financing and share consolidation. Galleon is funded for exploration and permitting work, including drilling at high-grade targets as well as early-stage exploration on newly acquired properties that expand its West Cache project. We continue to believe there is significant upside potential as the company continues to advance West Cache toward a bulk sample program.
Grid Metals announced additional results from the 2022 exploration program at its 75%-owned Donner Lake Li property in SE Manitoba – 25% is owned by its JV partner Lithium Royalty Corp. (Private). This batch of assays returned grades of up to 1.62% Li2O over 4.1m. While the intervals from the newly reported holes are not as long as those reported in holes -01 and -02 (read more), the results show mineralization at the Northwest Dyke has a consistent grade profile along the 500m of strike length drilled to date. We continue to view drill results from Donner Lake favorably as the grades compare well to Li peer company resources, including Critical Elements Lithium (TSXV:CRE, Not Rated) at 0.85% Li2O, Rock Tech Lithium (TSXV:RCK, Not Rated) at 1.1% Li2O and Foremost Lithium (CSE:FAT, Not Rated) at 0.9% Li2O.
