Braam Jonker, CFO of CoTec Holdings Corp. (TSXV: CTH; OTCQX: CTHCF), explains how CoTec pairs technology with undervalued brownfield assets to shorten the path from investment to cash flow. The focus is HyProMag USA’s Texas facility, which is designed to recycle scrap permanent magnets into new magnets using hydrogen processing.
Jonker says the company has leased a 125,000-square-foot facility, ordered equipment and is targeting a mid-2028 start for the integrated operation. He cites an estimated project NPV of about US$730 million and says 95% of permanent magnets currently come from China. We also discuss the initial finishing line, EXIM Bank’s letter of interest, commercial financing talks, and CoTec’s other project and copper JV milestones.
