We are initiating coverage on Cordoba Minerals Corp. with a BUY rating and C$1.45/sh target price. Cordoba Minerals is focused on advancing its flagship, San Matias Cu-Au-Ag project in Colombia, where a recently published PFS outlined an NPV8% of US$415M. The company also has a 25%-interest (option for up to 80%) in the Perseverance project in Arizona, where a drilling program is underway to potentially discover a copper porphyry. In our view, Cordoba is an overlooked story that provides investors with exposure to Cu assets in top-tier jurisdictions. The San Matias project demonstrates stellar economics and offers lots of exploration upside, as it is advanced to a Feasibility Study.
Cordoba Minerals (CDB) announced results from the PFS completed for the Alacran deposit at its 100%-owned San Matias Cu-Au-Ag project in Colombia. The PFS outlined potential for a 22k tpd open-pit mine, with average production of 68.8M lb Cu, 55k oz Au, and 386k oz Ag over a 13-year LOM. In our view, the PFS demonstrates fantastic economics, which we expect could be further improved over the coming year as Cordoba grows its reserves and pushes forward with a FS.
